BRS have been exclusively responsible for maintaining the electrical drawing library for Peak Downs CHPP and Field Maintenance for over 20 years. Since January 2010 the prototype system developed at Gregory mine has been implemented with great success.
Recently with the introduction of the Redeye database system. BRS has provided ongoing support to local electrical personnel and document controllers to ensure the system is rolled out as smoothly as possible and the accuracy of the drawing library is maintained.
With our unique design/drafting workforce that can provide not just CAD expertise but also electrical QA for all documents. Local electrical staff are able to minimize their risk knowing that their as built documents are remaining highly accurate in line with the statutory requirements of the Coal Mining Act.
BRS Responsiblities
  • Production of “as-built” drawings for all areas of site
  • Original architecture and implementation of the drawing management system.
  • Support to electrical and administrative staff in maintaining and managing the drawing database.
  • On-going support for site personnel in the operation of the system.
  • Regular site visits to maintain and coordinate drawing mark-ups and distribution.
  • Drafting services for creation of CAD versions of all drawings.
  • Electrical QA on all documents and recommendations to site for investigations and pt. to pt. takeoffs of any discrepancies discovered.
  • Overall responsibility for maintaining the accuracy of drawing records on-site and off-site both electronically and in hard copy.
